Important:

If your work contains clinical or translational research, you must:

- read the Clinical research presentations — requirements for materials guidance

- include the following disclaimer, ensuring the text is fully visible, and at least font size 8:

Oxford Nanopore Technologies products are RUO. Products labelled/branded as Oxford Nanopore Diagnostics may be RUO or may be regulated as in-vitro diagnostic devices in some jurisdictions, please check individual product labelling. Oxford Nanopore Technologies present the materials of third parties within the user community acknowledging that those materials belong to and are the true statements and representations of those third parties. Oxford Nanopore Technologies make no endorsements of the materials shown and the statements made.

- include your own company/institution disclaimers/disclosures, if required

- include a conflict-of-interest statement (even if there are no conflicts). For example, please disclose if you have received compensation from or other consideration from Oxford Nanopore or if you or a close family member have an interest in Oxford Nanopore or another party with a role in the study

- when talking about your research, it should be clear you are assessing the potential future clinical application of nanopore sequencing and that you are not currently applying the technology for any clinical diagnostic or prognostic purposes. It should be made clear that Oxford Nanopore products are RUO

- if presenting an internally validated workflow, please present the whole workflow (e.g. including sample prep and data analysis). Do not focus purely on nanopore sequencing

- when relating to the use, methodology, or results of nanopore sequencing, please carefully consider your word choice based on the above guidance

Style and terminology guide preferences:

While you are of course free to write in your own style, we are sharing some style conventions that we use for consistency.

Convention We avoid using Notes
Oxford Nanopore
OR
Oxford Nanopore Technologies
ONT
Oxford Nanopore sequencing
OR
nanopore sequencing
NGS/third-generation/long-read sequencing Oxford Nanopore sequencing has a unique combination of features and benefits, and we describe it as a standalone category
Any-length reads
Long-read capabilities
'Long-read sequencing'
'Long-read sequencer'
'Long-read sequencer' is a misleading categorisation; the platform has multiple properties that include the ability to sequence any-length fragments of DNA/RNA

Other considerations when preparing your poster:

- To aid audience comprehension, please write all acronyms in full the first time they are used

- Notable exceptions include DNA, RNA, PCR, and cDNA

- Please do not add any additional Oxford Nanopore logos to your poster unless you are an agreed affiliated partner of Oxford Nanopore

- Ensure the title of your poster matches the title agreed at invitation

- Prior to submitting your poster, we recommend checking it for any spelling or formatting issues, and to ensure any images do not appear blurry. It may be useful at this point to check that all references, tables, and figures are numbered sequentially

Submitting your poster:

- Prepare and upload a PDF file of your poster (maximum size: 2 MB)

- When you are ready to submit your poster please click the button below. This will take you to a Dropbox folder where you can drag and drop your poster PDF for us to access

- Use your FULL name and version number in the filename for ease of identification, e.g. FULL NAME_LC26_V1

We really appreciate all the time and effort you have put in to create your poster — thank you!
